About Me!

Hi! My name is Yayoi Kiyonari. I have enjoyed teaching others how to cook Japanese food for many years at home. I have a husband who is an architect, an older daughter (16) who loves Tahitian dance, and a younger daughter (13) who loves art. I especially enjoy making Bentos (lunch boxes) for my family every morning, which is also my hobby. Making Bento boxes containing tasteful and colorful ingredients is a wonderful way to show love to my family. Because of my long history of cooking and teaching how to cook Japanese food, I found it very challenging as well as enjoyment making Halal Japanese food. Most of all, I am very excited and honored to be able to teach those of who are interested in Japanese food and culture, but cannot fully experience it because of the cultural and religious reasons. Last, but not least, I would love to learn about you and your culture.
